While the lining inside the box provides some protection from light showers, it is not fully waterproof, and it's recommended to store the cushions indoors in heavy rain to reduce the risk of wear and tear. To enhance its weatherproof qualities, it's highly recommended to purchase a fitted cover. Assembly is required for this storage box.
